Vietnam Grab Drivers Urge Weekend Boycott Over Falling Earnings

Vietnam Grab Drivers Urge Weekend Boycott Over Falling Earnings

Grab drivers in Vietnam say they are earning less money than before.

They believe changes made to Grab’s payment system in July increased the amount taken from each fare.

Some drivers say up to half of a fare can be deducted.

They are asking other drivers to stop using the app for two days this weekend.

The drivers hope this will pressure Grab to treat them more fairly.

They still have to pay for fuel, repairs, and the loss in value of their vehicles.

Grab had not commented on the planned boycott when the report was published.

One driver also said that drivers might have no work if Grab left Vietnam.
