Minister Announces Support Programme for Divyang Entrepreneurs in Srikakulam
A government minister announced a new programme to help people with disabilities who run small businesses in Srikakulam.
The district administration will make a plan for that support.
At an event on Sunday, 230 people received electric mobility aids.
The aids were worth Rs 1.50 crore in total.
They included 130 electric tricycles and 100 electric wheelchairs.
The minister spoke with recipients about what they need.
He also advised them to get proper training and use the vehicles carefully.
He said medical camps and free assistive equipment have been provided in the district since 2020.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu said a special programme for small businesses started by persons with disabilities will soon be launched in Srikakulam.
