Burj at Masab Tank Opens
A new Burj, which is like a small tower, is being opened in Hyderabad at a place called Masab Tank.
This tower is built to look like the old towers that were used a long time ago to protect the city.
It is made using special materials like lime and earth blocks, and it has a special roof that helps keep the inside cool.
The tower is 20 feet tall and has a special shape that makes it look like the old towers from the Deccan Plateau.
It also has clocks on three sides.
The people who built it wanted to show how beautiful and important Hyderabad's history is by making this tower in the middle of the city.
It's not just for looking at, but also helps people remember the old days when such towers were used for important things like keeping watch and fighting battles.
A new Burj (bastion) is being inaugurated at Masab Tank, Hyderabad, showcasing the city's heritage and legacy.
The structure is designed and built by Deccan Terrain Heritage for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
The Burj features a hexagonal design, 20 feet in height, with a 10-foot base, and is constructed using pure lime mortar and compressed stabilised earth blocks (CSEB).
It includes a Madras Terrace Roof at 14 feet height, arched doors and windows for natural airflow, and chiming tower clocks on three sides.
The project aims to integrate traditional art, craft, and ancient architecture of the Deccan Plateau into modern urban landscapes, including crossroads, medians, and public areas.
