McDonald's Ends Krispy Kreme Partnership, Discontinues Doughnuts
McDonald's is stopping its partnership with Krispy Kreme, meaning you won't find those doughnuts at McDonald's anymore.
This decision was made because sales didn't do as well as expected after the initial trials.
The doughnuts, which included Original Glazed and other flavors, were sold at certain McDonald's locations.
The plan was to sell them everywhere, but that's no longer happening.
Krispy Kreme will now focus on selling its doughnuts through its own stores, and McDonald's will focus on its breakfast menu.
McDonald's is ending its partnership with Krispy Kreme, discontinuing doughnut sales.
The Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be removed from 2,400 participating locations by July 2, 2025.
The discontinued doughnuts include Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled.
The partnership started in late 2023 and was planned to go nationwide by the end of 2026.
The decision came after sales failed to meet expectations despite initial pilot test success.
