Rijiju Frustrated as Congress Avoids Parliamentary Debate

A very important Indian government leader named Kiren Rijiju was upset and said he felt frustrated.

He was upset because the Indian Parliament, where leaders make laws, kept getting paused or stopped.

Rijiju said the government wanted to talk and answer questions, but the Opposition party called Congress did not want to join the discussion.

He said this was strange because usually it is the Opposition that asks for debates, not the government.

Rijiju said it is not good for democracy when people do not talk to each other.

He also said the Congress party used to rule India for almost 50 years, so they should not be afraid to talk.

This happened on a Thursday in New Delhi.

The whole monsoon session of Parliament was having trouble because members wanted to hear about a protest on July 20.

Rijiju wants everyone to come together and have a proper discussion in Parliament.
