CARE Hospitals camp detects hidden vascular disorders in 300
A hospital in Hyderabad called CARE Hospitals checked the blood vessels of 300 people for free.
They did this on a special day called National Vascular Day.
Blood vessels are like tiny pipes that carry blood around our bodies.
The doctors found that many people had problems with their blood vessels without knowing it.
Some people had varicose veins, which are swollen veins in the legs.
Others had signs of a disease that makes it hard for blood to reach the legs.
A few people had foot problems because of diabetes.
The doctors told some people to get more tests, and a few needed surgery.
The doctors said it is very important to check our blood vessels early, especially if we are older or have diabetes.
CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, screened 300 people at a free Vascular Health Check Camp held on National Vascular Day.
The camp detected 70 cases of varicose veins, 50 suspected Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) cases, and 20 diabetic foot complications.
Twenty participants were advised to undergo advanced vascular investigations.
Five patients were recommended for vascular surgery based on the severity of their condition.
Doctors said many participants ignored symptoms like leg pain, numbness, cold feet, and non-healing wounds, mistaking them for ageing or diabetes.
