Junior Doctors Protest for 30 Percent Stipend Hike

Junior Doctors Protest for 30 Percent Stipend Hike

Junior doctors are doctors who are still receiving training.

They protested in Vijayawada on Saturday.

They want their monthly stipend to increase by 30 per cent.

The state government has proposed an increase of three per cent.

The doctors say three per cent is not enough.

They say living costs have risen and they work long hours.

They also provide important services in government hospitals.

They said they will keep protesting until their request is addressed.
