Mohali Seizes Hundreds of Items in Anti-Encroachment Drive
The city of Mohali in India is working hard to stop people from selling things on the streets without permission.
They have taken away a lot of equipment used by these street vendors.
This includes more than 70 big ovens called tandoors, 80 gas stoves, 200 gas cylinders, and 200 carts.
All this stuff is now stored in the city's offices and warehouses.
The city officials say they are doing this to keep the streets clean and safe for everyone.
They started this big cleanup about three months ago, and they have been very strict about it.
Mohali Municipal Corporation seized 70 tandoors, 80 LPG stoves, 200 LPG cylinders, and 200 handcarts in an anti-encroachment drive.
The drive has been ongoing for over a month, with confiscated items overflowing in MC offices and godowns.
Mandeep Singh, in-charge of tehbazari, oversees the operation and reports strict action taken.
The seized items were primarily from roadside kots and dhabas (eating establishments).
The campaign aims to make Mohali encroachment-free by targeting illegal street vendors.
