Los Angeles Q2 Production Days Decline

Los Angeles Q2 Production Days Decline

In the second quarter of the year, Los Angeles saw a decrease in on-location production shoot days compared to the previous year and the first quarter.

While television production, especially TV dramas, showed some growth, reality TV and feature films saw significant declines.

State incentives are helping to attract some productions, but there is still a need for more support to fully restore production levels and create jobs.

Mayor Karen Bass is pushing for an uncapped tax credit that includes above-the-line spend and a federal film incentive.
