A famous Indian cricketer named Rishabh Pant is rebuilding his old family house.

The house is in a small mountain village called Pali-Amdali in Uttarakhand.

Rishabh's mother, Saroj Pant, visited the village to start the work.

She came on August 4 and stayed for five days.

She found a contractor to rebuild the old, worn-down home.

Rishabh spent part of his childhood in this village when he was about seven years old.

His grandfather left the village around 60 years ago to find work and settled in Roorkee.

Rishabh now wants to move his home from Delhi to Uttarakhand.

He asked the state's Chief Minister for help buying land there, and the Chief Minister promised support.

The villagers are happy and hope Rishabh will visit often once the house is ready.
