Shabana Azmi supports students protesting education reforms

Students protested at Jantar Mantar on July 20, demanding educational reforms and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Shabana Azmi, a veteran actor, was present at the protest and claimed that the students were attacked with lathi charge and tear gas without provocation.

She insisted that the authorities tried to blame the students for the violence.

The protestors demanded a dialogue with the authorities to address their grievances, but the authorities have not engaged in meaningful dialogue.

Shabana Azmi shared videos and pictures from the protest on social media and wrote a letter to the Prime Minister appealing for a dialogue with the students.
