NASA Captures Image of Japanese Lunar Lander Crash Site
Imagine a Japanese spaceship called Resilience trying to land on the Moon.
It was aiming for a place called Mare Frigoris.
But something went wrong, and the spaceship crashed!
NASA has a special camera on the Moon that took a picture of where the spaceship hit.
The picture shows a dark spot with a bright circle around it.
This happened because the spaceship hit the ground really hard, like when you drop something.
It was the second time this company has tried to land on the moon, and unfortunately, it didn't work this time either.
NASA's LRO captured an image of the crash site of Japan's Resilience lunar lander.
The lander, built by ispace, lost contact during its descent on June 5th.
The crash site image shows a dark spot with a light ring, indicating impact.
The lander was attempting to touch down in the Mare Frigoris region.
This was ispace's second failed attempt at a lunar landing.
