Ather 450X gets adaptive cruise control tech
Ather Energy has added a new feature called Infinite Cruise to all Ather 450X electric scooters.
This feature helps the scooter maintain a steady speed in city traffic, which is different from regular cruise control that is used on highways.
It works at speeds as low as 10 kmph and can handle stops and starts in traffic.
The feature will be available for new scooters and can be added to existing ones through a software update.
It has three modes: CityCruise for traffic, Hill Control for slopes, and Crawl Control for rough roads.
Over 44,000 existing customers will get this update.
Ather Energy has introduced Infinite Cruise adaptive cruise control for all Ather 450X scooters.
The feature will be standard on new 450X scooters and available via OTA updates for existing owners who purchased from January 1, 2025 onwards.
Infinite Cruise is designed for urban riding conditions, with a speed range of 10–90 kmph and three modes: CityCruise, Hill Control, and Crawl Control.
The system remains active in the background and recalibrates speed after braking, reducing the need for repeated throttle inputs.
Over 44,000 eligible 450X customers will receive the update, with notifications via on-screen alerts on their scooter dashboards.
