Delhi High Court Asks DMRC to Consider Toilets, Baby-Feeding Facilities

Delhi High Court Asks DMRC to Consider Toilets, Baby-Feeding Facilities

Some people who ride the Delhi Metro asked a court to help them.

They wanted more toilets and special rooms for feeding babies inside the ticket areas of metro stations.

A big court called the Delhi High Court talked about their request.

The court told the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the group that runs the metro, to listen to these requests.

The person who asked, a lawyer named Shannu Baghel, has two weeks to point out stations that need help.

The metro company said every station already has toilets.

It said the toilets are clean, separate for men, women, and others, and cost only a little money.

The court said each station is different, so toilets and feeding rooms can only be added where they fit.

The court also said passengers' health and dignity are important.

So the metro will look into the requests but must keep stations working well.
