Nvidia to Launch More Affordable AI Chip for China
Nvidia is planning to release a new, less powerful AI chip specifically for the Chinese market.
This move is a response to U.S. government restrictions that prevent Nvidia from selling its most advanced chips to China.
The new chip, part of the Blackwell architecture, will be priced lower than the H20 model it replaces.
Production is expected to begin in June.
The chip uses GDDR7 memory and is based on the RTX Pro 6000D.
Despite the restrictions, Nvidia aims to maintain its presence in China.
