Indian Women Leaders Eye Private Equity and Venture Capital

Indian Women Leaders Eye Private Equity and Venture Capital

A Barclays report studied wealthy women leaders in India.

Many of them are interested in investments such as private equity and venture capital.

Forty percent plan to put new money into these investments within three to five years.

However, only 14% understand these investments well and currently use them.

Some women said they do not understand alternative investments enough, while others understand them but have not invested.

Most respondents want to build more knowledge and confidence.

Finding enough time to manage wealth is another major challenge.

The report also says women may inherit at least Rs 73 trillion over the next decade.
