Engineering Student’s Suicide Case Reclassified as Murder After Arrests
Police first treated the engineering student’s death as a suicide.
After investigating, they said it was actually a murder.
Police arrested lecturer Jetti Naveen Kumar and are investigating Bommakanti Ravi Kumar.
They allege Naveen Kumar was upset about the student’s friendship with Ravi Kumar.
Police say he put pesticide in water and made the student drink it.
They also say he forced her to write a note accusing Ravi Kumar of sexual abuse.
The student became unconscious and was taken to a hospital.
She died there the next day.
