MSHRC Recommends FIR Against Pune Police Over Minors' Alleged Abuse
A human rights commission investigated how Pune police treated people in custody.
It said three children accused in a murder case were tied to a police vehicle and taken through public streets.
The children were allegedly beaten and kept in custody longer than the law allows.
The parade reportedly exposed them to people who tried to attack them.
The inquiry also described a separate case involving four adults who were allegedly beaten and publicly shamed.
The commission said senior police officials did not respond properly after learning about the incidents.
It recommended that its report become a formal police complaint called an FIR.
The Maharashtra police chief must arrange the investigation.
