Kolkata Schools Learn CPR and Healthier Heart Habits

Doctors visited five schools in Kolkata to teach students about heart health.

They showed students how to perform CPR and use an AED during emergencies.

CPR can help a person whose heart has stopped or is beating abnormally.

The doctors also explained that junk food, too much screen time and inactivity can harm health.

These habits may contribute to obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol problems.

Students learned that cardiac emergencies and choking can happen to people of any age.

Some students shared healthy activities such as cycling, jogging and running.

At the end, students wrote down healthy habits they wanted to follow.

The programme was held around World Heart Day on September 29.
