India’s Anti-Submarine Warfare Poses Challenge to Pakistan's Submarines
Pakistan is getting new submarines from China called Hangor-class.
These subs are meant to make Pakistan's navy stronger.
However, India has really good tools to find and stop submarines, like special planes and helicopters.
The waters where the subs need to go are also tricky, because they are shallow and close to the coast.
This means India's navy might be able to find and stop the new Pakistani submarines pretty easily.
So, even though Pakistan is getting new subs, it might not be able to use them very effectively because of India's defenses.
Pakistan is modernizing its submarine fleet with Hangor-class submarines from China.
China has delivered three of the eight planned Hangor-class submarines.
India possesses Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) capabilities, including P-8Is and MH-60R helicopters.
Shallow waters near Karachi and Ormara naval bases pose challenges for Pakistani submarines.
India's ASW assets may limit the operational effectiveness of Pakistan's new submarines.
