Bengal Chief Minister Vows Action on Conversion and Border Security

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari spoke at a government programme in Malda.

He said his government would act against religious conversion and what he called “love jihad” and “land jihad.”

He also said it would work to prevent more communal violence in the district.

Adhikari called for following a law that controls animal slaughter.

He said the state would help people apply for citizenship under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

He also talked about border fencing and support for farmers.

He said the government would work to prevent child marriage and drug use.

These are promises and statements made by the chief minister, not proof that the allegations he cited have been established.
