Israeli Strikes Kill Seven in Lebanon, Then Eleven More

Israeli attacks killed seven people in southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.

The victims were in several places, including Arab Salim and Nabatieh al-Tahta.

Six people, including two girls, were injured in one Sunday strike.

Early the next day, another attack in Kfar Rumman killed 11 people, including two children and two medics.

Israel said it was attacking Hezbollah sites and responding to drone attacks.

Lebanon’s president said civilian buildings and health facilities were hit.

He asked the United States and other countries to help stop the attacks.

The fighting continued even though Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire in June.

The two sides gave different explanations for who and what was targeted.
