Jharkhand Speaker Questions Absence of BJP MLAs from Assembly

In the state of Jharkhand in India, people called MLAs are chosen to meet in the assembly to ask questions and make decisions for everyone.

Rabindra Nath Mahato is the Speaker, the person who keeps the assembly meetings fair and organized.

On Monday, the Speaker noticed that some MLAs from the BJP political party were not at the meeting.

Those MLAs were supposed to ask questions during a part of the meeting called Question Hour.

The Speaker said it is not good practice to plan to ask questions and then not show up.

The missing MLAs said they were outside the Chief Minister's house, protesting about problems with a government job exam.

They said police took them to a guest house, so they could not go to the assembly.

The Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, is the leader of the state, and his house was surrounded by the protesters.

The session of the assembly started on August 6, and the Speaker wants everyone to follow the rules so the state can run well.
