Wanaparthy Police Recover 236 Mobile Phones Worth Rs 65 Lakh
The Wanaparthy district police in Telangana have successfully recovered 236 mobile phones worth Rs 65 lakh.
These phones were returned to their owners during a special event called 'Mobile Phone Recovery Mela'.
The police used a special system called CEIR to trace the phones, which were lost or stolen from various states including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala.
The police advised people to report lost phones immediately and to block them using the CEIR portal.
They also warned that buying second-hand phones without proper receipts could lead to legal trouble if the phones are found to be stolen.
The police team responsible for the recovery was awarded for their excellent work.
