Congo, Rwanda Clash Over FDLR Disarmament Protocol

Congo, Rwanda Clash Over FDLR Disarmament Protocol

Congo says a rebel group called the FDLR has agreed to give up its weapons and move to safe camps.

Rwanda says this agreement is a trick and not what the peace deal wants.

The deal in Washington said the rebels must be stopped, not talked to.

The new protocol doesn’t say how many rebels or where the camps will be.

Congo thinks it shows progress, while Rwanda wants the rebels to be neutralised immediately.
