MRVC to Upgrade Badlapur Station
The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) is making big improvements at Badlapur station.
They are building a new place to buy tickets and a public restroom on Platform 1.
They are also adding a new bridge for people to walk over the tracks, which will help everyone move around more easily.
This is all part of a larger project to add two more train tracks between Kalyan and Badlapur.
The project is expected to be finished by December 2026 and will cost Rs 1,510 crore.
Right now, about 30% of the work is done.
These changes will help reduce crowding and make it easier for people to travel on the trains.
MRVC is constructing a new booking office and public toilet at the Kalyan end of Platform 1 at Badlapur station.
An additional 6-metre-wide foot overbridge (FOB) is proposed at the Kalyan end to improve commuter movement.
As part of the third and fourth railway lines project, a skywalk and new elevated booking office are planned.
The project, costing Rs 1,510 crore, is targeted for completion by December 2026 with 30% progress as of October 2025.
The upgrades aim to ease congestion and improve commuter facilities at the busy Badlapur station.
