Telangana Medical Council Flags Unauthorized Practice at Seven Clinics

The Telangana Medical Council checked seven clinics and hospitals in Hyderabad.

It was looking for people treating patients without the required medical training or registrations.

The council said some workers had qualifications such as BA, Intermediate, BPharmacy or BUMS.

It alleged that some people gave allopathic treatment even though they lacked permission to do so.

Inspectors also reported problems with patient records at one clinic.

At Shifa Clinic, they said allopathic medicines and IV fluids were being used.

At Shreya Hospital, the council questioned how Dr P. Sharath Babu described his medical qualification.

Officials said they would check records and certificates before taking further action.

The council said inspections will continue to protect patients.
