International Conference on Computational Mathematics Begins at SOA University
This story is about a big meeting where math experts from India and other countries come together.
The meeting is called ICCMESH-2026, and it lasts for three days.
It is happening at a university in India called SOA, inside a place named the Institute of Technical Education and Research.
These smart people talk about how math and computers can help solve hard problems, like keeping people healthy and stopping diseases.
They also share new ideas about how math is used in engineering and other sciences.
An important guest from Sri Lanka, Professor Sanjeewa Perera, spoke about how math and artificial intelligence can help with big world problems.
The university's Vice-Chancellor also gave a speech about how important math and computers are for new inventions.
During the three days, people will listen to keynote speeches, give talks, and show their research papers.
Everyone hopes that working together will help make life better for people all over the world.
The three-day International Conference on Computational Mathematics for Engineering Sciences and Healthcare (ICCMESH-2026) began Thursday at SOA Deemed to be University's Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER).
Organized by the Department of Mathematics, the conference focuses on emerging advances in computational mathematics and their applications in engineering, healthcare and interdisciplinary sciences.
SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda presided over the inaugural session, with Prof. Sanjeewa Perera of the University of Colombo as chief guest.
Keynote lectures feature internationally acclaimed experts including Prof. Dumitru Baleanu, Prof. Millie Pant of IIT Roorkee and Prof. Prashant Kumar Srivastava of IIT Patna.
A conference abstract book was released and Prof. Perera was felicitated for his distinguished contributions to mathematics.
