ISL Clubs Warn AIFF as FSDL Deal Ends
Some big football clubs in India are worried because a important agreement is ending soon.
They sent a letter to the people in charge, saying things might not work well if nothing changes.
They asked to change some rules and even said they could run the league themselves if needed.
The people in charge said they got the letter and will think about it.
One club, Emami East Bengal, didn't agree with the idea of the clubs running the league together.
The Master Rights Agreement (MRA) between AIFF and FSDL ends on December 8, 2025.
13 ISL clubs sent a joint email to AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey, expressing concerns about the current situation.
The clubs proposed amending the Supreme Court-approved new constitution and revising the tender prepared by KPMG.
They suggested forming a consortium to own and operate the league if a suitable commercial partner is not found.
Emami East Bengal did not support the idea of clubs forming a consortium to run the league.
