NIA Raids Five Bengal Locations in JMB Sleeper-Cell Case

NIA Raids Five Bengal Locations in JMB Sleeper-Cell Case

The National Investigation Agency searched five places in West Bengal.

The searches were part of an investigation into Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh, or JMB.

JMB is described in the report as a banned militant group based in Bangladesh.

The case began in Assam, where investigators recently arrested a young man suspected of militancy.

Investigators said he was an active JMB member.

They said he told them that JMB had an active group in West Bengal.

They also said the group was trying to create hidden sleeper cells by influencing young people.

Information and documents from the arrest helped investigators identify places to search.
