MP Resident Asad Khan Converts to Hinduism in Kashi
A man named Asad Khan from Madhya Pradesh decided to change his religion from Islam to Hinduism.
He went to Kashi and had a special ceremony on a boat in the Ganges River.
Twenty-one priests helped him, and he got a new name, Atharva Tyagi.
Asad had always liked visiting temples and praying, but it was hard for him because of his name.
He also felt sad about what was happening to Hindus in another country.
So, he chose to follow his heart and become a Hindu.
Asad Khan, a resident of Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, converted to Hinduism in Kashi.
The conversion ceremony was performed on a boat in the Ganges River in front of Assi Ghat.
Asad was purified and given a new name, Atharva Tyagi, by 21 Brahmins.
Atharva's family had previously adopted Islam under pressure, but he desired to embrace Sanatan Dharma.
Atharva's decision was influenced by his devotion to Lord Hanuman and incidents affecting Hindus in Bangladesh.
