Rajasthan High Court Orders Office Sealing for Disobeying Wage Orders
Imagine the court told someone to pay their workers a certain amount, but they didn't.
The court got upset!
The court in Rajasthan told the PHED's boss in Sikar, who is like a manager for water projects, to pay pump operators minimum wages.
Because the boss didn't follow the rules, the court has ordered the boss's office to be locked up, and told him he can't go inside anymore.
A judge will make sure this happens.
The boss still has to work, just not in his office.
The court also wants the boss's boss to make sure the court's order is followed.
Rajasthan High Court ordered the immediate sealing of the PHED SE's office in Sikar.
The order stems from the SE's failure to comply with court orders on minimum wage payments.
The court directed the district judge to oversee the attachment and sealing.
The SE is barred from entering his chamber but arrangements will be made for him to work outside.
The court also instructed the ACS, PHED, to ensure compliance with prior wage orders.
