Indian Navy commissions second MH-60R squadron

Indian Navy commissions second MH-60R squadron

The Indian Navy is adding a new squadron of MH-60R helicopters on December 17 at INS Hansa in Goa.

This is the second squadron of these advanced helicopters, which have special weapons and sensors to help the Navy in different situations.

The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, will be present at the event.

These helicopters have already been used in many operations and have shown their usefulness.

This addition will make the Navy stronger and more capable.

Meanwhile, the Indian Army is also receiving its three remaining Apache AH-64 attack helicopters from the United States.

These helicopters, known as 'tanks in the air,' are armed with various missiles and guns.

The Army plans to deploy these helicopters at Jodhpur to strengthen the western front with Pakistan.

In the future, India will also receive 156 indigenous Prachand light combat helicopters starting from 2028, which will be used for high-altitude operations.
