Drone Strikes in Tigray Kill One
There was a fight between the Ethiopian army and the Tigray People's Liberation Front in the Tigray region.
On Saturday, drones attacked two trucks, killing one person and injuring another.
The trucks were either carrying food and cooking items, as said by the Tigrayan official, or weapons, as claimed by pro-government activists.
This happened because there are disagreements about who controls certain areas and about the Tigray forces not being disarmed yet.
The war ended last year, but there are still problems.
Drone strikes in Tigray region killed one person and injured another on January 31, 2024.
The strikes targeted two Isuzu trucks near Enticho and Gendebta, with conflicting reports on their contents.
The Ethiopian National Defence Force (ENDF) is alleged to have launched the strikes, but they did not respond to requests for comment.
The conflict is part of ongoing disagreements over contested territories in western Tigray and the delayed disarmament of Tigray forces.
The Tigray war ended with a peace pact in November 2022, but tensions persist.
