KCR Appears Before SIT in Phone-Tapping Case
K Chandrashekhar Rao, also known as KCR, is a former chief minister of Telangana.
He was asked to come and talk to a special team called the SIT about a case involving phone tapping.
KCR said the way the notice was given to him was not correct and that he should have been asked to come to his current home in Erravalli instead of his official home in Nandi Nagar.
Even though he disagreed with the way the notice was given, he decided to go and talk to the SIT to help with their investigation.
The BRS party, which KCR is a part of, is upset and says the current government is trying to bother KCR for political reasons.
They plan to hold protests all over the state to show their support for KCR and to protest against what they call unfair treatment.
The police are on high alert because they think these protests might cause trouble, like blocking roads or burning effigies.
KCR appears before the SIT for questioning in the phone-tapping case at his Nandi Nagar residence.
BRS supporters protest across Telangana, alleging political harassment by the Congress government.
KCR objects to the manner of notice service, claiming it violates legal procedures and constitutional guarantees.
The SIT insists on questioning KCR at his official residence, despite his request to be questioned at his current residence in Erravalli.
Protests include rallies, dharnas, road blockades, and effigy burning, with police on high alert for potential disruptions.
