Ladakh Leaders Urge Dialogue to Secure Lasting Safeguards

Thupstan Chhewang said Ladakh’s leaders should continue talking instead of starting new protests.

He believes the talks have already produced useful progress.

He also said the public did not hear about all the agreements and positive ideas discussed.

According to him, disagreements about what should happen first have caused delays.

MP Mohmad Haneefa Jan said the Ministry is serious about creating a legislative system and protecting Article 371 provisions.

He also said recruitment needs to move ahead in practical terms.

Tashi Gyalson’s participation brings experience to the discussions.

The leaders are therefore calling for continued talks and careful implementation.
