Andhra Pradesh Reservoirs Filling Up After Rainfall
Heavy rains have filled up the major water storage areas (reservoirs) in Andhra Pradesh.
This means there's a lot more water than last year!
The Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar projects are almost full.
Because of the rising water levels, water is being released from dams and barrages to prevent them from overflowing.
This water is also being sent to canals for use in growing crops.
This is good news for farmers who need the water to grow their plants.
Reservoirs in Andhra Pradesh are filling due to recent rainfall.
Overall water storage in AP has reached 676.95 TMC feet (67.3%), significantly higher than last year.
Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar projects have substantial water storage.
Water is being discharged from multiple barrages and projects, including Srisailam and Prakasam.
Water is being released from Nagarjunasagar Dam for crop cultivation.
