Sports Governance Bill 2025 Introduced in Parliament
The government has created a new Sports Governance Bill.
This bill will create official groups to manage different sports in the country.
These groups include the National Olympic Committee, the National Paralympic Committee, and national and regional sports federations for each sport.
For the first time, even the BCCI, which runs cricket, will have to follow the rules of this bill.
This new bill is intended to bring all sports organizations under a unified framework.
The Sports Governance Bill, 2025 was introduced in Parliament.
National sports governing bodies will be established.
The bill covers the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee.
A National Sports Federation for each sport will be created.
