India's Industrial Output Slows to Nine-Month Low in May
In May 2025, India's factories didn't produce as much as they did in previous months, with a growth of just 1.2%.
This slowdown happened because of lower production in mining, manufacturing, and electricity.
The decrease in electricity production was due to heavy rains.
Some sectors, like those making machinery and equipment, did well, but overall production growth was lower.
