Governor C.V. Ananda Bose Institutes Philately Award in Mother's Memory

The governor of West Bengal, C.V. Ananda Bose, has started a new award called the Padmavati Award.

He named it after his mother, who used to work at the post office.

This award will be given to three special people who are very good at collecting and preserving stamps.

The announcement was made at a big stamp exhibition called Bongopex.

Three people will be chosen by a group of experts.

The winners will get a certificate, a trophy, and money.

The governor thinks stamp collectors are important because they help save our history and teach people.

At the exhibition, there were also special stamps and postcards shown, including some about Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and famous Bengali directors.
