Sankranti Travel Rush Causes Congestion

Sankranti Travel Rush Causes Congestion

During the Sankranti festival, many people traveled to their hometowns, causing a lot of congestion at the Pandit Nehru Bus Station (PNBS) in Vijayawada.

The bus station was very crowded with long lines at the ticket counters and boarding points.

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) added extra buses and staff to help manage the crowds.

Despite these efforts, the traffic was still very heavy, especially on the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway.

People had to wait for a long time at toll plazas like Keesara and Chillakallu.

The APSRTC advised passengers to plan their trips carefully and cooperate with the staff to make the travel smoother during the busy festival period.
