186 Residents Fall Ill After Bhel-Bhatta At Malegaon Market
A weekly market was held in Nandgaon Budruk on September 27.
A vendor sold bhel-bhatta with three kinds of chutney.
After eating it, 186 people became sick with diarrhoea, vomiting or nausea.
Most of the sick people had eaten the food with chutney.
Officials said people who ate the bhel-bhatta without chutney did not report these symptoms in the preliminary information.
The patients are receiving treatment at government hospitals in Malegaon.
