Gastroenterologist lists 5 signs of nutrition deficiency
A doctor who specializes in the stomach and intestines, Dr. Saurabh Sethi, shared five signs that your body might need more nutrients.
These signs include brittle nails, twitching in the eyelids or limbs, clicking sounds in the joints, premature greying of hair, and easy bruising.
Another doctor, Dr. Amreen Sheikh, agreed that these signs are important and should not be ignored.
She explained that brittle nails might mean you need more protein and iron, twitching could mean you need more magnesium, clicking sounds might mean you need more vitamin D3 or calcium, premature greying could mean you need more vitamin B12 or copper, and easy bruising might mean you need more vitamin C or vitamin K1.
She also suggested foods that can help fix these deficiencies, like eggs, lentils, nuts, and leafy greens.
