Shining Tools IPO Sees Weak Investor Demand on Opening Day
Shining Tools, a company that makes special metal-cutting tools, is trying to raise money by selling shares to the public.
This is called an IPO.
On the first day, not many people wanted to buy the shares, and only about half of the shares were sold.
The company hopes to sell enough shares to buy new machines and pay for other business costs.
The shares are expected to start trading on the stock market soon.
Shining Tools IPO opened for bidding on November 7, aiming to raise ₹17 crore.
The issue was subscribed only 50% on the first day, indicating weak investor interest.
The retail investor portion was booked at 63%, and Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) at 35%.
Funds raised will be used for purchasing plant and machinery, working capital, and general corporate purposes.
