Ghalibaf Slams US 'Theatre Diplomacy' as Iran Rejects Hormuz Talks

Iran and the United States are having a big argument, and right now they cannot even agree on whether they are talking to each other.

Iran's parliament leader, Mr. Ghalibaf, said America is acting like it is putting on a play — first saying a big attack is coming, then suddenly saying it wants to negotiate.

He said America uses bullying, broken promises and fake news, and that Iran does not need more theatre.

The argument is about a very important water road called the Strait of Hormuz, where many ships carry oil to the whole world.

America's president, Mr. Trump, said Iran must open the water road again very soon or it would be 'hit very hard.'

He also said America and Iran were having very good talks, but Iran said that is not true and that it is not talking with America at all.

Iran's defence minister said the country's soldiers are ready to defend against any threat using weapons made in Iran.

Iran's president said people barely felt attacks on power plants because the government and neighbouring countries helped.

America's vice president said Iran's leaders do not all agree, so talking with them will be messy.
