Stephen Fleming Named England Test Coach, Root to Captain

England’s cricket team has a new boss.

Stephen Fleming, who used to play for New Zealand and coach the Chennai Super Kings, will be the Test coach.

He will start in December 2026 when England visits South Africa.

Until then, Marcus Trescothick will coach the team for the August series against Pakistan.

Fleming has won many titles in the Indian Premier League and is known for his coaching skills.

The change comes after Brendon McCullum was let go.

England hopes Fleming will help the team win more games.

Joe Root will be the captain.

Fans are excited to see how the new coach will lead.
