Odisha Launches 'AMA SuVahak' to Empower Women as Skilled Drivers

Odisha is starting a new program called 'AMA SuVahak' to help women become professional drivers.

This program will help women get trained to drive cars and even start their own small taxi businesses.

The government will help them get interest-free loans to buy cars.

They will also get help with training, getting a driver's license, and finding work.

The goal is to give women jobs, make transportation safer, and help the economy grow.

This will create about 1,100 women drivers over the next four years.

To join, women need to be between 21 and 40 years old and their family should earn less than a certain amount each year.

Banks are also helping by making it easier for women to get the loans they need.
