Kolkata Puja Committee Donates to Nepal Flood Victims
A community in Kolkata held a special Durga Puja celebration this year.
Its theme, “Jiyon Kathi,” is about bringing life and hope back.
Nepal was recently hit by very serious flash floods.
The community decided to send money to help people affected by the disaster.
Debasish Saha delivered the donation at Nepal’s embassy in New Delhi.
Nepal officials received it on behalf of their government.
The organizers said disasters can affect people across borders.
They also said helping others is part of caring for life and nature.
Many travelers from West Bengal were reported missing after the floods.
The BC Block Residents’ Association in Kolkata donated to communities affected by Nepal’s flash floods.
The donation supports the committee’s 2026 Golden Jubilee theme, “Jiyon Kathi,” meaning “The Wand of Life.”
