Pope Announces Carlo Acutis Canonization for September 7th
Pope Leo has decided that Carlo Acutis will become a saint.
This means Acutis is being recognized by the Catholic Church as someone who lived a very holy life.
He was born in Britain but lived in Italy, and sadly, he passed away from an illness when he was only 15 years old.
The special ceremony to make him a saint will happen on September 7th.
They originally planned to do this earlier, but the plans had to be changed.
This is special because Acutis will be the first saint from the generation of people born around the year 2000!
Pope Leo announced Carlo Acutis will be canonized as a saint.
The canonization is scheduled for September 7th.
Carlo Acutis was a British-born Italian boy.
Acutis died of leukemia in 2006 at age 15.
