Women's Panel Chief Urges Reporting Sexual Harassment
Dr. Sailaja, the head of the Andhra Pradesh State Women’s Commission, spoke at a school about the laws that protect women and girls from sexual harassment.
She said it's important to know what sexual harassment is, which includes not just physical acts but also mean words, gestures, and online behavior.
She explained that everyone should feel safe and report any bad behavior without being afraid.
The law says every workplace must have a committee to handle complaints, and punishes anyone who tries to stop a woman from reporting.
The Commission is also holding more events to teach people about these laws.

She urged everyone to report incidents of sexual harassment without fear, as it is a fundamental right to live with dignity and safety.
Sexual harassment includes inappropriate words, gestures, comments, messages, and online behavior, not just physical acts.
The POSH Act mandates every workplace to establish an Internal Complaints Committee to handle complaints effectively.
Pressuring, threatening, or retaliating against a woman who files a complaint is a punishable offense under the law.
